Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-Ply Overall Rating: 4.6/5 Excellent.
But they have established themselves as one of the top dogs when we talk about top-rated stainless steel cookware.
In this Duxtop Whole-Clad Tri-ply review, we will look at what are their strengths and weaknesses so that you can make an informed decision when it comes to choosing the best.
Below are the product information:
Durability: 5/5 Excellent.
What the does the naming “Whole-Clad” means? Duxtop manufacturer utilizes the whole-clad bonding technology for this top-notch cookware set.
This simply means that the technology is able to bond different metals together and this process is believed to be able to extend the cookware’s lifespan as compared to the encapsulated base construction.
I know of a friend who is still using this cookware since she moved to her new house 6 years ago. And she is so amazed by the ultra durability of this set!
Heat Distribution: 4.7/5 Excellent.
Firstly, the construction of the Duxtop pots and pans is designed for even heat distribution on the base and on the walls.
This only not heats up the pans real fast, it also retains the heat very well.
When you are preheating the pans, use low to medium heat. After they are preheated, turn it back to low heat. The heat conduction is so good that it heats up within minutes. So do take note and don’t overcook your food.
Besides performing well as what they should be, the Duxton cooking pans could be one of the best induction cookware as well.
It seems like this set is really designed for induction as the magnetized base conducts and transfers heat really fast and evenly.
I have tried to use the pans on induction stovetops and I will say I’m very impressed at the performance.
As compared to other induction-ready cookware brands, Duxtop will be the first 3 choices that come to my mind immediately if I were asked to decide on one induction set to invest in.
Value for Money: 4.5/5 Very Good.
You can perform your research and due diligence on a tri-ply cookware all you like.
But as of now, I am pretty sure that you will most probably find it rather difficult to get a similar superior cookware with this affordable price tag.
They are not only an affordable set but are also the cookware that can help you save a ton of money in the long run due to the durability.
In fact, they cost 1.5 to 2 times cheaper than the brands mentioned earlier.
Ease of Use: 4.6/5 Excellent.
This stainless steel cookware set may weight slightly heavier than other types of materials but it is still lighter compared to the heavy duty All-Clad.
Though heavier, it will provide the sturdiness that is needed for any cookware that can last for many years to come.
The handles are strongly riveted to the pans and are designed to stay cool with a comfortable grip when the cooking heat increases.
Cleaning and Maintenance: 4.5/5 Very Good.
Though the pans are not known to be resistant to sticking, the Duxton whole-clad tri-ply cookware is rather easy to clean if you can take care of them.
One tip for non-stick is to preheat your pans before you start cooking.
After cooking, wait for the pans to cool down for around 15 minutes to half an hour before immediately washing them up or soak them with washing detergent.
Sometimes you may forget to wash the pots and pans after cooking. I understand that because there was a couple of times I left the pans there for a few hours before I realized I have not washed them.
One or two times stubborn stains and grease developed. However, it didn’t take me too long to remove them. I used some vinegar to soak them before washing them and the stains are gone.
If you do come across stubborn stains which are really difficult to remove, try out Bar Keepers Friend. It’s something I will never fail to look for in times like that.
